- The Authority has not dismissed the possibility of collaborations with the CSF in various nations.
The SPD head, Saskia Esken, doesn't dismiss the possibility of partnering with the BSW Alliance (Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance) at the state level, as long as they avoid collaborating with the AfD. According to her, state-level coalition decisions mostly fall under the jurisdiction of the regional associations. "They don't require our suggestions; they'll make their call post-election, based on the situation." Elections for new state parliaments are scheduled in Saxony, Thuringia, and Brandenburg in September.
Esken praised the SPD-Green-FDP traffic light coalition, which had been intensely discussing budget enhancements for the forthcoming year. She stated, "We're now governing; leading this peculiar and by no means simple coalition."
Esken made it plain that Olaf Scholz will once again hold the Chancellor position. "Olaf Scholz is our Chancellor, and he'll remain our Chancellor candidate."
The BSW Alliance might consider running in future elections at the state level, given their stance on avoiding collaboration with the AfD. The outcome of the election in Saxony, Thuringia, and Brandenburg in September could potentially influence their coalition decisions.
