On our own behalf - That's why stern.de now looks different
Perhaps you were surprised by the look of our website today – be it on mobile or computer or tablet. Why does stern.de look different now? Where is the former mixed block up top? Where can I find things now?
We have made some changes. Our goal is to guide you well through our site. You should find the information and stories you're interested in quickly and easily.
Don't want to miss anything from stern?
Personally, competently, and entertainingly: Editor-in-Chief Gregor Peter Schmitz sends you a free newsletter every Wednesday with the most important content from the stern editorial team and sorts out what Germany is talking about. After entering your email address, you will receive a confirmation email. We handle your data confidentially. ## You wanted more structure
Where we previously came across rather unsorted, we are now clearer and less fragmented.
We have asked numerous readers in the past few weeks and months. The result was clear: You want more structure, especially on our homepage. You want to find your way around better. And you would like a place for news – in addition to longer articles.
That's why we have changed the layout of the site. Up top, you'll find the larger topics and debates now, followed by the most important news, which are rather brief and to the point. We deliberately named this area "Currently Important."
There are also other areas on the site that now have a name. So you know what you'll find there. "Life and People," for example, where entertaining news and curious reports stand. From celebrities to royals, as well as curious things from Germany and around the world.
Do you have feedback for us?
These changes are a first step. We have been working on a completely new website and app for some time. Both will be even more beautiful and orderly. But on the way there, we have already made some changes. Also to collect your feedback. Because we want to keep improving, so that you will be happy to come to us.
Do you like it? Does something bother you? Then write to us: [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you.
The updated homepage now features a clearer layout, with the larger topics and debates displayed prominently at the top under the heading "Currently Important". You can also find curated news and entertaining reports in the "Life and People" section.
The changes to our website include renaming various areas to make it easier for you to navigate and find the content you're interested in, such as news and celebrities under "Currently Important" and "Life and People" respectively.
