US election campaign - Team Harris: $200 Million collected in a week

The campaign team of US Presidential candidate Kamala Harris reportedly raised over $200 million (approximately €184 million) in donations within less than a week, according to their own statements. Two-thirds of the money came from first-time donors, the team of the Democrat shared. This suggests that Harris enjoys broad support among the base of the party. Last Sunday, US President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the Presidential race and proposed Harris as his replacement. The 59-year-old must still be officially nominated by the Democrats.
