Suspects believed to be genuinely involved were apprehended following the assault.
Law enforcement officials have apprehended an individual linked to the stabbing incident in Solingen. Nazioth-Rhein-Westfalen's Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) reported this during the ARD-"Tagesthemen" and referred to the person as a "genuine suspect" who had been sought after for an entire day.
The individual is being investigated as the main suspect in the stabbing incident beyond just being linked to it. The case is now being classified as a priority for other law enforcement agencies as well.
