A 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by two men at the Public Viewing for the UEFA European Football Championship in Vienna. The Police are investigating the case, according to the authorities. The 16-year-old had watched the Austria - Netherlands match (3:2) with her peers on June 25th.

"During this event, a conversation between two men and the group developed, during which it is alleged that sexualized actions were taken against the 16-year-old," said a spokesperson for the Landespolizeidirektion. The victim is said to be from Germany.

Visitors to the Public Viewing reportedly alerted the police, it was stated. The spokesperson did not provide further details about the incident. At the time, the Public Viewing in front of the Vienna Town Hall was the largest event of its kind nationwide - approximately 15,000 fans celebrated the victory of the Austrian team. A 35-year-old suspect is currently being questioned and remains at large. The identity of the second suspect is currently the subject of ongoing investigations.

The alleged assault took place during the Football Europe Championship, specifically at the Austria vs. Netherlands match. The incident has sparked concerns at the ongoing Football Europe Championship in Vienna. Despite the incident, the soccer event continued to draw large crowds, including fans from Germany, who came to support their teams.
