Suspected German individual detained following multiple incidents in Bali

In Bali, a German male has been apprehended after a string of misdemeanors. At 37 years old, he's been slapped with accusations including theft, assaulting locals, threatening cops with a blade, and hurling rocks at them. He claims his depression is the motive. He may be looking at a decade behind bars.

As per the police reports, a German national was taken into custody on the Indonesian idyll, Bali, due to a sequence of assaults and damage to properties. The 37-year-old is accused of attacking a motorbike rider and pelting stones at officers during his capture. Furthermore, he's been charged with causing harm to a villa in the popular tourism locale of Kuta and threatening a household worker with a knife a few days ago.

"He mentioned that his parents' divorce and his father's demise led to his depression," said the Kuta police chief, I Ketut Agus Pasek Sudina, to journalists. "We're planning a psychological examination and a deeper probe." He is said to be charged for causing injury, property damage, and threats. According to Indonesian law, he could receive a sentence of up to ten years for these crimes.

The man reportedly had dwelled in Bali for the past seven months - as per his own account, seeking peace post his parents' divorce and his father's death, as per the police.
