With a festival, the Surfpark in Hallbergmoos (Freising district) near Munich Airport is set to open on August 10 and 11. According to the organizers, after approximately two years of construction, beginner and advanced surfers can ride on artificial waves.

Up to 60 surfers, according to the information, can go in the 180-meter long pool at the same time. Every ten seconds, there are waves for different demands: from soft and slow to steep and nearly two meters high.

According to the organizers, surfing in the pool is comparable to surfing in the sea and also suitable for practicing. Besides the surf pool, there is a restaurant, sunbathing areas, a shop, and a tribune with space for up to 300 spectators on the premises.
