Animal use - Sunk in the mud - police rescue sheep

With police escort, a sheep that had been in an accident returned to its herd in Ansbach, Middle Franconia. The animal had previously sunk in the mud, as the police reported. A passerby discovered it on a Monday evening. Together with bystanders, she reportedly freed the sheep from its unfortunate situation.

Half an hour later, the sheep, which had only sustained light injuries to its hind legs, was considered transportable. It was transported back to its herd by the police and a veterinarian over a short distance in a cart. The shepherd is reportedly expected to cover the costs of the police intervention and the veterinarian's fees.

The police in Bavaria, specifically in Ansbach, Middle Franconia, received assistance from local residents in rescuing the sheep. The wheelbarrow used by the passerby and bystanders was instrumental in initially freeing the animal from the mud. The entire incident occurred in the picturesque town of Ansbach, known for its rich history and architectural landmarks.
