Storm causes flooded cellars in Upper Bavaria

Storms in Bavaria again. Brief but heavy rainfall caused a lot of damage in the Holzkirchen area.

Heavy rainfall - Storm causes flooded cellars in Upper Bavaria

A thunderstorm cell caused flooded roads and basement flooding in the upper Bavarian district of Miesbach in the afternoon. A spokesperson for the Rosenheim Fire Department Control Room stated that there were also uprooted trees. The German Railways reported that due to the storm, there were train failures on the line between Rosenheim and Mühldorf. A bus replacement service has been set up.

According to the spokesperson of the Integrated Control Room, the storm focused particularly on Holzkirchen in the Miesbach district. Outcroppings of the storm had also spread to the Rosenheim district. By early evening, the heavy rainfall had passed. The fire department is now working to clear up the damage.
