Shortly before the start of the Volunteer Year in September, there are still places available in the Freiwilligen Ökologischen Jahr (FOJ) in various stations in Saxony. "Those who want to orient themselves professionally or bridge the wait for an training or study place meaningfully can, in the FOJ, breathe practical air for a year and engage in nature and the environment," the Saxon Foundation for Nature and Environment announced today.

The FOJ begins on September 1, 2024 and ends on August 31 of the following year. Applicants must be between 16 and 26 years old. According to the information provided, participants receive 350 Euro pocket money and are entitled to 30 days of vacation. Positions are available approximately in kindergartens, in the National Park, on a farm, or at the foundation itself.

During the application phase, interested individuals from Dresden and other parts of Saxony can apply for the FOJ. Participating in the FOJ provides an opportunity for younger residents of Saxony to contribute to social causes while immersing themselves in the environment.
