summer - Start unstable during holidays - from Wednesday often cheerful
In the first week of school holidays, people in Hessen have to adapt to unpredictable weather with sun, clouds, and rain. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), there is only a small risk of rain from mid-week onwards.
Therefore, an evening of heavy rain with thunderstorms, strong rain, and gusty winds is expected tonight, following a sunny first holiday day. Scattered showers and brief thunderstorms are also possible on Tuesday, with temperatures between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, the sun predominates, but clouds occasionally pass by, with temperatures around 24 to 27 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions are expected on Thursday, with temperatures forecasted to rise to 27 to 30 degrees.
Despite the improving weather forecast from mid-week, memorial events along the Main River in Frankfurt might still need raincoats and umbrellas, given the expected rain tonight and scattered showers on Tuesday. Consequently, hiking or picnics in Hesse's scenic outdoor spots during these days might require considering the unpredictable weather due to the rain.
