Sports car manufacturer Porsche has sold fewer cars
Porsche, the sports car manufacturer, experienced a setback in sales during the first half of the year. A total of 155,945 vehicles were delivered from January to June, which is seven percent less than the pre-set target, as the company announced on Tuesday.
The business performed particularly poorly in China, where 29,551 cars were sold, which is a third less than before. Porsche attributed this to the tight economic situation in China. Sales also decreased in North America. A record sales figure in the second quarter, however, could not fully offset the minus in the first three months. On the other hand, business went well for Porsche in Europe, and especially in the German market, which accounted for about a fifth of the total.
In the second half of the year, Porsche aims to make up for the sales shortfall in Cars, as they are a renowned Sports car manufacturer. Despite the setback, Porsche's half-year deliveries of 155,945 vehicles still placed them among the leading Sports car manufacturers worldwide.
