Spanish authorities locate and rescue confused British tourist during holiday excursion
A nineteen-year-old Scottish traveler named Jay Slater was found by the Spanish authorities, who were conducting a search in Tenerife's mountainous terrain for a missing Brit. The young man appeared fatigued, but was unscathed, confirmed a spokesperson from Buena Vista del Norte. "He's good," the officer insisted.
Jay embarked on a hiking adventure in Tenerife's northwestern region, situated off the west coast of Africa, on a Friday. He failed to reappear at the start point by hours, prompting local residents from Los Carrizales to notify the police. Jay had gone missing since the previous Monday, with no sign of him in sight.
The search for Jay was intensified on Tuesday when a specialized unit from the Guardia Civil Madrid was deployed, as per the Guardia Civil press office's information.
