Bavaria Experiences Increase in Tourism Numbers - Söder: 100 million euros, along with additional funds, for flood relief

Following devastating floods across the country, the Bavarian government is set to dish out 100 million euros as financial aid to those in need. As reported by Minister President Markus Söder (CSU), this sum will likely be increased. At a meeting in Munich, the cabinet made the decision.

Recipients of this aid will include private households, commercial enterprises, self-employed individuals, and farmers. Söder wants everyone in distress to know that Bavaria is there to help promptly and efficiently without unnecessary red tape. He further urged the federal government to uphold their promises and provide the necessary financial aid for flood relief.

The breakdown of the financial aid for households is a maximum of 5,000 euros in emergency assistance and up to 10,000 euros for oil damage, with their insurance payments being subtracted at the end of the process. If the threat is existential, Söder mentioned that they could receive up to 100% reimbursement. Package deals for companies and the self-employed start from 5,000 euros and may go up to 200,000 euros. If the damage is insurable, the amounts could be adjusted accordingly.

So if you're a business owner or a farmer affected by the floods in Bavaria, be ready to receive some help from the state government!
