More than 100 artists expected - Small festival in the large garden gets a motto

The team of the Little Festival in the Great Garden in Hannover is ready to go: Starting from Wednesday, around 100 artists and artistes from 13 countries will present their skills at the Little Theatre Festival in the Herrenhäuser Gardens. Visitors can look forward to a mix of theatre, music, circus, dance, comedy, and magic for two and a half weeks.

This year's official theme is "Water". The range goes from filled bathtubs to a giant flying fish, all the way to the water games in the Great Garden. "Water has always played a central design role in historical garden landscapes," says artistic director Casper de Vries.

A large part of the program takes place centrally in the Great Garden around the approximately 70 meter high Fountain. However, there are also smaller stages off to the side. "The Great Garden should be more than just a backdrop. It should take on its own role with its unique features and character," according to de Vries.

According to the organizers, tickets from the advance sales have been sold out for weeks. However, there are still 300 additional tickets available at the box office on each event day. The last event day is July 28. Last year, around 100,000 visitors and visitors attended the event.

  1. Visitors attending the festival in Lower Saxony's Hanover will not only enjoy various theatre performances but also a variety of music genres, as several musicians and artists are part of the event.
  2. The Little Theatre Festival in Hanover is not only limited to theatre but also includes dance, comedy, and magic, making it a diverse celebration of culture and arts in the heart of Germany.
  3. The artistic community in Lower Saxony is well-represented at the festival, with many local artists showcasing their talents alongside their international counterparts, highlighting Hannover's vibrant cultural scene.
