Slippery in an empty swimming pool
Six young adults used the water slide at a pool in Freiburg during the night without noticing that the pool below it was not filled with water. Due to the impact on the floor and the edge of the empty catch basin, three people from the 20- to 24-year-old group were injured, as the police reported. They had reportedly entered the pool area unlawfully.
The students were significantly intoxicated, the police added. After the accident, they called the rescue services, who took the injured to the hospital. The intruders must now reckon with a report to the prosecutor's office for trespassing and damage to property.
The three injured individuals were soaked from their head to toe due to the sudden impact, as they had entered the swimming pool without realizing it was empty. Upon their arrival at the hospital, their clothes were bespattered and waterlogged from the incident.
