Sister delivers an emotional farewell to Hannah Lynch
Hannah Lynch, the younger sibling who tragically passed away from the sailing yacht "Bayesian" incident, was fondly remembered by her older sister Esme. In a heartfelt statement, Esme referred to Hannah as her "little guardian angel" and "restless warrior". "Hannah would surprise me in my room, cuddle up, and share her emotions - whether she was grinning, being playful, or seeking guidance," Esme shared. "Hannah always showered me with endless affection."
Esme Lynch was not among the passengers on board the extravagant yacht, which was unfortunate for Hannah and her father, British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, as well as five other individuals. Hannah's body was discovered near the bottom of the sea, some 50 meters deep, on Friday following a lengthy search operation. Their mother miraculously survived the disaster.
Hannah had recently distinguished herself by excelling in her A-Level examinations, the British equivalent of Abitur. Her exceptional academic accomplishments earned her a spot at the renowned University of Oxford, where she planned to pursue English studies. "I have never had the privilege of teaching anyone as exceptionally gifted intellectually, while also maintaining such warmth and drive as Hannah," commented Jon Mitropoulos-Monk, headmaster of Latymer Upper School in London's Hammersmith.
The celebrated luxury yacht, "Bayesian," was stationed about a kilometer from the coast when it succumbed to a destructive storm. The New Zealand captain declared astonishment at the ferocity of the storm. However, various experts speculate that errors were committed, and the yacht might not have been prepared adequately to confront the impending storm. As a consequence, Italian media sources indicate that a prosecutor is prepared to initiate a formal examination.
Esme often felt comforted by Hannah's reassuring presence, knowing that she always had her 'other half' to rely on during tough times. In light of the tragic incident, Esme began to cherish the memories of Hannah's selflessness even more, realizing how she was always there to 'comfort and protect' her sister.
