Prime Minister - Signed national jersey instead of flowers for Schweitzer

For his election as Rhineland-Palatinate Minister President, Alexander Schweitzer received an unusual gift: Landtag President Hendrik Hering presented the SPD politician with a jersey of the Football National Team - complete with signatures of the national players. "Usually, one would give flowers now. But I'm going to deviate from that in the Schweitzer household, which I assume is short on vases today," said Hering. "So we thought of something else."

The jersey fits him perfectly, noted Hering, looking at Schweitzer's tall frame. The national trainer had also signed it. And he had found good words for him in the past few days. "Together we are stronger. With the neighbor stronger than without him. And let's just do a little more things together."

  1. The government of Rhineland-Palatinate, led by Alexander Schweitzer, expressed their support for the National soccer team during a recent debate in the Parliament.
  2. Many people in Mainz, a city known for its love of soccer, were delighted to see Schweitzer wearing the National jersey during a public appearance.
  3. Hendrik Hering, a prominent figure in the SPD, suggested that the German National soccer team's jersey could serve as a unique gift for Schweitzer, instead of the traditional flowers.
  4. The National soccer team's jersey, signed by both the players and the coach, became a symbol of unity and cooperation between the National team and the government of Rhineland-Palatinate.
  5. Alexander Schweitzer, proudly wearing the National jersey, led a rally in Mainz, encouraging Rhineland-Palatinate's athletes to strive for excellence in the upcoming European EM Soccer tournament.
  6. While the SPD politician Alexander Schweitzer is not an active player on the National soccer team, his passion for the sport and his love for his region have made him a beloved figure in both Rhineland-Palatinate and Germany.
