Sexual abuse of primary school girls
Due to the frequent misuse of elementary school girls, a teacher was sentenced to nine years in prison by the Hagen District Court in North Rhine-Westphalia. The defendant was found guilty of sexual misconduct towards wards in 80 cases, according to the court spokesperson, of which 76 cases were in conjunction with child sexual abuse and four cases were in conjunction with severe child sexual abuse.
In the other accused cases, he was acquitted. The public prosecutor had accused the 59-year-old teacher from a North Rhine-Westphalia elementary school in Altena of sexual misconduct towards wards in a total of 160 cases. The acts are said to have occurred, according to the indictment, over several years in the school rooms.
The judgment fell already on the late Friday. The defendant was reportedly arrested by the court spokesperson still in the courtroom. The judgment is not yet legally binding.
