Russian invasion - Selenskyj asks for more air defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been constantly complaining about Russian terrorist bombing and has again asked the West for more help with air defense. In the past week alone, Russia dropped 800 glide bombs over Ukraine, Zelenskyy announced in Kiev. He released a video of the extensive damage and fires in regions such as Cherson, Dnipro, Odessa, and Zaporizhia. On Saturday, during an attack on the city of Velyka Nova Hrebleivka in the Zaporizhia region, seven people were killed. According to official figures from Sunday, there were more than 40 injured. The day before, lower numbers had been reported. "Ukraine needs more air defense systems. We need strong support from our partners," Zelenskyy said. Ukraine needs funds to shoot down Russian combat bombers.

The West supports Ukraine in its ongoing defense against the Russian offensive war, which has been going on for more than two years. For better protection of cities from Russian air raids, the country has repeatedly demanded more Patriot air defense systems from the US.
