24-hour peace - Selensky wants clarity from Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will clarify to Donald Trump how he intends to end the war in 24 hours. "If Trump knows how to end this war, he should tell us that today," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Bloomberg TV. "If there are risks for Ukraine's independence, we want to be prepared, we want to know."

The former US President and candidate for the upcoming presidential elections has repeatedly claimed that he can end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. However, Trump has never provided details for this claim.

Zelenskyy expressed his readiness to meet with Trump and his team and listen to their proposals. "We want to understand if we will have the powerful support of the US in November (after the US elections) or if we will be alone."

In this context, Zelenskyy confirmed his rejection of a ceasefire, as Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban suggested the previous day. Anyone who makes such a proposal has not been able to explain how it would work. "Nobody has a solution," Zelenskyy said.
