2. Bundesliga - Second division Elversberg loses to Sittard with 0:1

The SV Elversberg lost their final training match in the Netherlands against Fortuna Sittard with a score of 0:1. The second division football club made this announcement following the game, which took place without public attendance.

According to reports, striker Paul Stock hit the post in the second minute, but ultimately, the team led by trainer Horst Steffen lost to the Ehrendivision club.

The Saarländers will begin their season on August 3rd against 1. FC Magdeburg. Their first home game at Kaiserlinde is scheduled for August 10th against Bundesliga relegated 1. FC Köln.

SV Elversberg utilized their training camp in the Netherlands for several test games, including one against Fortuna Sittard. The Second Bundesliga team is set to commence their Football-Bundesliga preparation in Saarland. Despite a close call from Paul Stock hitting the post in the second minute, the test game against Fortuna Sittard resulted in a 0:1 loss during their pre-season training.
