Basketball - Seawolves with access to and alongside the field

Rostock Seawolves have signed a new Center and a new Sports Director. The Basketball Bundesligist announced that Godwin Omenaka will join the Mecklenburg team as the new Center. Besides on the court, Kevin Anstett will steer the sports affairs of the Rostockers.

The 2.06 meter tall Omenaka last played for SLUC Nancy in France. The Nigerian national player signed a one-year contract and replaces Chevez Goodwin, who will not return to the Seawolves. "He was the perfect choice for what we were looking for at the Center position," said new Sports Director Kevin Anstett about the 23-year-old recruit.

Anstett was previously active in the same position at Limoges Cercle Saint-Pierre in the first French League. "My goal is to build something special in Rostock. I want to create something sustainable and continue to grow in basketball. I want a mid-term to long-term perspective and not to skip steps, so that the club can grow properly and healthily," said the 32-year-old.

Omenaka will be joining the Rostock Seawolves, a Bundesliga team located in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. His new role will be as the Center, replacing Chevez Goodwin who won't be returning to the team. Anstett, the new Sports Director, expressed his excitement about Omenaka's addition, stating, "He was the perfect choice for what we were looking for at the Center position." Similarly, Anstett has expressed his ambition to build something special in Rostock, aiming for sustainable growth and a long-term perspective for the Rostock Seawolves Basketball team.
