At a accident involving a small school bus near Boizenburg/Elbe (Ludwigslust-Parchim district), four people were injured, among them three students. The 62-year-old driver drove into a gravel pit head-on on a municipal road on a Monday morning, according to the police.

Besides the driver, three passengers aged between 15 and 17 were taken to hospitals with facial, head, and rib injuries. The bus was no longer drivable after the accident and had to be towed away.

The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident. Boizenburg/Elbe is located at the tri-border area with Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.
