Scholz vows to stand by Ukraine's side

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has denied allegations that Germany is planning to reduce its aid to Ukraine, which is currently under assault by Russia. He made this statement during the Sat.1 special broadcast titled "Where does Germany Stand?" He expressed surprise at the current state of discussions.

Germany has allocated a projected military aid of four billion euros for the next year, the highest among any European nation. Moreover, Ukraine is expected to receive a loan of 50 billion euros from the G7 nations, with the interest being covered from the revenue generated from frozen Russian government assets.

With these resources, Ukraine will have the ability to acquire necessary defense weapons on its own, according to Scholz. This specific method hasn't been endorsed internationally yet. However, Scholz was clear: "There's absolutely no ambiguity regarding this matter."

Despite the ongoing Ukrainian War with Russia, Germany has affirmed its commitment to supporting Ukraine financially. Germany is set to provide military aid of four billion euros for the next year and expects G7 nations to offer Ukraine a loan of 50 billion euros, with interest covered from frozen Russian assets.
