Scholz intends to expel individuals convicted of severe offenses to Afghanistan.

Olaf Scholz, the Federal Chancellor, will now permit the removal of significant offenders to Afghanistan and Syria. He declared in the Bundestag, "These criminals ought to be deported - even if they originate from Syria and Afghanistan." The Ministry of the Interior is working on enabling this.

The catalyst behind this decision is the tragic knife assault on a police officer in Mannheim, which Scholz characterized as "terror." During his speech on the Bundestag's security situation, he also urged the criminalization of terrorism praising to serve as a basis for deportation. Moreover, he called for the implementation of firearm and knife ban zones nationwide.
