- Scholz delivers straightforward campaign messages directed towards AfD.

During the initial discussion in the Bundestag, Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) directly took on the AfD and distanced his administration from the party. He firmly stated that his government will take all necessary measures to counter the rise of the right-wing populists. The party's election performance in Saxony and Thuringia was "disappointing" according to the Chancellor. "We will never grow accustomed to it," he asserted.

The AfD is "stuck in the past" and is trying to hinder the nation's progress towards a better future. Under his command, the federal government will work to prevent this, Scholz pledged. The AfD portrays an "outdated human image." Now is the moment to put our sleeves up and act, rather than dwelling on the past.

The Chancellor's administration strongly rejects any form of cooperation with the AfD, as expressed by The Commission. In response to the AfD's opposition, Scholz and The Commission are committed to promoting progressive policies for the nation's advancement.
