The company - Saxony reorganizes consulting for companies

Saxony reorganizes funding for consulting services for small and medium-sized enterprises. The Ministry of Economics announces that it will consist of the modules Short Consultation, Business Consultation, Group Projects, and International in the future. "With our consulting funding, we support the Saxon SME sector in realizing its potential. And quickly, digitally, and uncomplicatedly," explains Economy Minister Martin Dulig (SPD). "Above all, our small and micro enterprises benefit from this new offer and can increase their competitiveness."

Subsidies for recruitment of international specialized and labor forces

According to the Ministry, successful building blocks of the previous consulting funding will be continued and adapted to current developments. The Free State provides support if companies take up consulting offers from Chambers, Associations, and other economic organizations. External consulting services in the form of individual consultations and group projects will also be funded. Group projects are intended to enable synergy effects through the participation of several companies.

New is also a subsidy that small and medium-sized enterprises can receive for the recruitment and integration of specialized and labor forces from third countries. This building block applies to training and employment relationships that are entered into from July 1, 2024, with foreign youth or specialized and labor forces. Each company can have up to three training and up to three employment relationships funded, with subsidies for small businesses (up to nine employees), small companies (up to 49 employees), and medium-sized companies (up to 249 employees) being tiered.

Focus on securing skilled labor

"A whole series of companies in Saxony have already recognized the opportunity for their skilled labor securing along this path," says Dulig. Companies and employees often emphasize that they no longer want to miss their foreign colleagues. They are not only a great help in terms of expertise, but also a social and cultural enrichment for the workforce. The experiences with new migration paths have also highlighted the challenges of international recruitment. "We support the SME sector with our funding quickly and bureaucratically in the recruitment of international specialized and labor forces."

The company in Saxony can now utilize the Ministry of Economics' revamped consulting funding, which includes modules like Short Consultation, Business Consultation, Group Projects, and International. This is part of the state's economic policy to bolster the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, as emphasized by Economy Minister Martin Dulig.

In addition to these modules, Saxony also provides subsidies for the recruitment and integration of specialized and labor forces from third countries. This initiative, starting from July 1, 2024, allows companies to fund up to three training and up to three employment relationships.

Economy Minister Dulig mentioned that many companies in Saxony have seen the benefit of securing skilled labor through international recruitment. These companies appreciate the expertise and cultural enrichment foreign colleagues bring, according to Dulig.

This funding is part of the Saxony government's initiatives under the Ministry of BMWi, aiming to support the SME sector in its digital transformation and encourage digitization. The SPD also plays a significant role in these efforts to promote economic growth in Dresden and the wider Saxony region.
