Sacrifices due to Russian attacks on Ukraine

Once again, Russian rockets and drones flew at targets in Eastern and Southern Ukraine at night and caused damages. Attacks from Moscow claimed victims in the contested area of Donetsk.

In Russian attacks on targets in the Ukraine, there have been casualties again. At least two people were injured in rocket and drone attacks on the city of Charkiw and a settlement on its outskirts, according to Governor Oleh Synyehubov on Telegram. Damage was reportedly caused to residential buildings and an industrial building, as well as a horse stable. Several cars were also destroyed.

In the northeastern Ukrainian region of Sumy, Russian artillery fired on several communities. A woman was reportedly injured by authorities. Already on Tuesday, in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk, according to Governor Wadym Filaschyn, at least three civilians were killed and six were injured by Russian artillery fire and bombardments, mainly in the city of Lyman.

In the southern Ukraine, according to the local administration in the city of Cherson, a woman was killed and another was hospitalized in a Russian artillery attack. In the Odessa region, there were attacks on the infrastructure of the Danube port of Ismajil. Three people were reportedly injured by authorities. Several buildings and cargo trucks were destroyed. However, social media videos suggested that fuel depots were also hit.

Air Defense: 17 of 23 Drones intercepted

The Ukrainian Air Force claims to have intercepted 17 of the 23 Russian combat drones deployed in the night. Two rockets launched towards Charkiw could not be shot down.

Ukraine has been defending itself against Russian invasion for over two years. Russia controls about a fifth of Ukrainian territory, including the Crimean Peninsula.
