Russian troops continued their attacks in eastern Ukraine, beyond the clashes surrounding Ukraine's advance into Russian territory around Kursk. The main areas of combat were around Torez and Pokrovsk, according to the Ukrainian General Staff in Kyiv.

Regarding the actual situation in the Kursk area, the General Staff in Kyiv provided few details. It only reported that Russian long-range artillery and combat aircraft targeted the area around Sumy. This zone is considered a deployment area and supply route for Ukrainian units in the Kursk region.

The heaviest fighting was registered in Pokrovsk, on the outskirts of the Donbass. In total, Russian units made 26 attempts since the morning to break through Ukrainian defense lines, all of which were repelled. These claims could not be independently confirmed.

In Torez, Russian troops once again attempted to advance towards the settlement of Niu York (New York), with these attacks also being repulsed. Additionally, the city of Torez was targeted by Russian air strikes.

The escalating conflict in Ukraine has led to widespread war, with frequent battles in regions like Torez and Pokrovsk. Despite repeated attempts, Russian troops have failed to breach Ukrainian defenses in both Pokrovsk and Torez.
