Russian troops continue to advance on Avdiivka in Ukraine

According to British estimates, Russian troops have continued to advance on the embattled city of Avdiivka in the east of the country in their war of aggression against Ukraine.

"Although modest, these advances represent the biggest Russian territorial gains since spring 2023," the statement continued in London. "They have cost the units involved thousands of casualties." According to the report, the Russians are steadily approaching an industrial complex where coke fuel and various chemicals are produced and which is one of the Ukrainians' main defensive positions. However, Ukraine still has control over an approximately seven-kilometer-wide corridor through which it supplies the city.

The ongoing war in Ukraine has led to numerous conflicts between Ukrainian and Russian forces, with the Secret Service monitoring the situation closely. The latest advancement by Russian troops on Avdiivka highlights the escalating nature of the Ukraine war, as they attempt to encircle the city.
