Russian fuel tanks are on fire

The war has already reached Russian territories for a long time. According to the Governor of Kursk, several fuel tanks are on fire in an oil depot there following a Ukrainian drone attack. Two houses were reportedly affected.

According to reports from authorities, an oil depot in Kursk, Russia, is on fire after a Ukrainian drone attack. Three fuel tanks are reportedly ablaze, with firefighting efforts ongoing, Kursk Governor Alexei Smirnov reported in his Telegram channel. No one among the residents and workers of the industrial facility was injured. Dozens of firefighters are on the scene to extinguish the fire. Ukrainian journalists also reported fires at an oil depot in Kursk following Ukrainian attacks.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported several Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory, including the Kursk region. However, military reports only ever mention the downed aircraft, not the impacts or damages.

According to Smirnov's account, debris from a downed drone hit a house in a village in the Kursk region, causing a fire. No one was injured. In the town of Sudzhа, a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle dropped a bomb on a residential building, injuring a woman and sending her to the hospital. Smirnov reported injuries and property damage from drone attacks on numerous settlements the previous day.

In the border region between Russia and Ukraine, Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian oil depots, refineries, or energy facilities are common. Ukraine, which has been resisting the Russian attack war for more than two years with Western help, has significantly expanded its own drone production.

Russia has been launching massive attacks on Ukrainian power plants and other infrastructure installations for months. This resulted in widespread power outages in the country and, on occasion, civilian casualties.

The ongoing conflicts in Wars and Conflicts, specifically the Attack on Ukraine, have extended to Russian territories, such as the Kursk region. Recent reports indicate a Ukrainian drone attack on an oil depot in Kursk, causing several fuel tanks to catch fire.

The Russian Defense Ministry has acknowledged multiple Ukrainian drone attacks on their territory, though they often only report downed aircraft, not the resulting damages or impacts.
