Russian fuel station undergoes attack from Ukrainian aerial assault

Drones presently serve as Ukraine's primary tool for striking strategic depth within Russian territories. Particular focus is given to disrupting the adversary's fuel sources.

- Russian fuel station undergoes attack from Ukrainian aerial assault

At a fuel station in the south of Russia, an announcement claims a blaze was initiated by an Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assault. No casualties were mentioned, as per Vasily Golubyev, the region's governor of Rostov. The affected facility is situated in Kamensk district. A significant fuel storage facility in Proletarsk city, part of the Rostov region, has been ablaze for several days after an UAV strike.

Russia's Ministry of Defense, stationed in Moscow, reported the interception of twelve Ukrainian UAVs during the nighttime – four in the Rostov region and eight in Voronezh's central Russian region. These military updates were not substantiated by independent sources. Inhabitants of two Voronezh district villages were forced to momentarily leave their homes, as per regional administration reports.

Airports closed due to UAV threat

Nevertheless, Ukrainian hostilities seemed to stretch beyond these regions. Airports in Kazan and Nischnekamsk, situated far from Moscow's east, momentarily paused operations, according to the Federal Air Transport Agency Rosaviazija. The cited reason was another UAV threat within the airspace. Ever since the conflict initiated around two and a half years ago, Ukraine has been protecting itself against Russian invasion and has been targeting locations deep within enemy lines using progressively long-range combat UAVs.

The announcement at the Kamensk district fuel station implied a drone attack from Ukraine, potentially causing the fire. Russia's defense ministry reported intercepting multiple Ukrainian drones, suggesting an escalation of drone attack incidents.
