Russia warns U.S. of potential retaliation following missile attack on Crimea peninsula.
Following a suspected Ukrainian missile attack on the annexed Crimean Peninsula, Russia warned the U.S. of retaliation.
Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, pointed the finger at the U.S. administration for the deaths of Russian civilians, including children, due to a reported missile strike in Crimea, according to Russian media reports from the previous day.
The Russian Defense Ministry had previously blamed Washington for providing the missile to Ukraine on Sunday.
In response, the Russian Foreign Ministry called in the U.S. Ambassador, Lynne Tracy. She was told that the U.S. bears responsibility for this heinous act alongside the Kiev government, according to the ministry's statement. The attack will not be left unanswered.
