RTL, ntv, Stern and Capital increase their visibility
The brands of RTL News - RTL, ntv, "Stern" and "Capital" - produce exclusive content day after day. This is reflected in the Quote Ranking of Media Tenor. The number of statements and research results taken from RTL-News media has more than doubled in the past.
RTL, ntv, "Stern" and "Capital" improve significantly in the current Quote Ranking of Media Tenor (January to June 2024), rising from 20th place last year to 7th place among the most quoted media in Germany. The RTL-News brands increased the visibility of their content in the first six months of the year more than twice over with relevant interviews, exclusive research, and strong statements. They are the biggest winners (1st HJ 2023: 107 mentions) and are on a par with ARD and ZDF.
Above all, the "Stern" interview with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the "Frühstart" interviews of RTL and ntv were widely picked up. In the ranking of the most quoted weekly and monthly media, "Stern" climbs to a strong third place and thus ranks higher than "Die Zeit" and "Welt am Sonntag" (1. HJ 2023: Rank 10).
The Media-Tenor Quote Ranking is the only global indicator for the investigative performance and journalistic quality of the cited editorial teams. A total of 10,904 quotes in the Politics and Economics sections of the leading German media were evaluated by the analysts between January and June 2024.
The improved Quote Ranking of RTL, ntv, "Stern" and "Capital" in Politics can be largely attributed to their exclusive content, which often finds its way into various media outlets. The media coverage of the "Stern" interview with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the "Frühstart" interviews of RTL and ntv significantly contributed to their increased visibility.
