Right-wing populist Le Pen achieves a victorious win in France.
As initial reports come in, it appears that the right-wing National Rally party, headed by Marine Le Pen, has emerged victorious in the European elections held in France. Broadcasters France 2 and TF1 announced this after the polls had ended.
Infratest dimap, as per ARD, shows the National Rally (RN) securing 31.5% of the votes. This marked an increase of 8.2% compared to previous elections. The coalition Renaissance & Democrats, comprising Macron's Five-Star Movement, experienced significant setbacks and saw their tally drop to just 15.2%.
