Tourism - Rheinland-Pfalz remains a popular holiday destination
The tourism industry in Rhineland-Palatinate looks back on the first half of 2024 with satisfaction. The tourist regions have been well visited in the past few months, according to Rheinland-Palatinate Tourism GmbH in their half-yearly balance. Cycling and hiking trails in the country, as well as cruises on the Rhine and Mosel, are particularly popular trends. According to the Rheinland-Palatinate Tourism GmbH, most guests come from neighboring federal states, foreign tourists often come from the Benelux countries, Great Britain, and the USA to Rhinland-Palatinate.
"And the outlook for the summer months is also optimistic, there is already a good booking situation emerging," said Zindler. Many regions are already fully booked at the weekend.
