The recent elections have dealt a significant blow to the SPD, with Chancellor Scholz accepting that the traffic light coalition can't be dismissed post-European election debacle. The discussions and analysis that ensue will be extensive, making it challenging to discern the government's decisions amidst all the commotion.

In an interview with RTL and ntv, Scholz emphasized the need for the traffic light coalition to collaborate, acknowledging that, following the losses suffered by the coalition parties in the election, brushing things off isn't an option. This primarily involves completing pending tasks.

During his ZDF interview, Scholz stated that citizens' criticism of excessive discussion is justified. He further added during the G7 summit in Southern Italy that although many decisions will be made, it's challenging to determine which decisions have been made due to the intense ongoing discussions.

Immediately, the focus turns to the annual budget for the next year, a task that needs quick resolution by the beginning of next month. It's also about fostering growth and creating modern job opportunities. To achieve this, Scholz stated that every party must work cohesively and, where necessary, challenge each other to reach a mutual understanding.

Scholz: We must join forces

Despite the recent electoral loss, Scholz remains hopeful about the upcoming Bundestag election, expressing confidence in presenting a balanced and promising future. However, Scholz urged everyone to step up their efforts: "We must join forces." Notably, this requirement is especially applicable to the SPD, which faced its poorest result of 13.9% in a nationwide vote during the European election, finishing behind the AfD and significantly trailing the CDU.
