Weather: Powerful Storm Impacts Region - Recent rainfall in southern Germany leads to limited disruptions in the area.

As per the latest weather alerts, significant fire department interventions haven't taken place on Saturday night in the south of Germany. The German Weather Service had issued warnings for intense thunderstorms and torrential rain in numerous regions of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. The majority of these notifications have been revoked.

In the small town of Veringenstadt, which is located near Reutlingen, the fire department was extracting water from the streets and basements, as stated by the in-charge of operations. The downpour was more than the sewer system could manage and couldn't drain away anymore, explained the firefighter.

In Bavaria, the police spokespeople in Rosenheim and Kempten claimed that the interventions by police and fire department were within the regular range. Meanwhile, in Swabia, hail was seen falling in certain places. A large part of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg is grappling with severe flooding. The predicament assumed a critical level in Regensburg, as the water in the Danube was retreating at an exceedingly slow pace.
