A 29-year-old driver died in a serious head-on collision on Federal Road 65 in the Landkreis Osnabrück. In the morning, the man was driving on the federal road in Bad Essen when a 32-year-old woman stopped her car to turn left, according to the police. The 29-year-old from Ostercappeln apparently noticed this too late. His car collided with the woman's. The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The 32-year-old woman and her two children, aged two and seven, who were in her car, suffered a shock and were also taken to the hospital. The B65 was closed for several hours.

The accident occurred in the Osnabrück district, specifically on Federal Road 65. The main road was closed due to the severe collision between the two vehicles. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the rear-end collision, which involved a car from Ostercappeln and a car that had stopped to turn left from Bad Essen. Unfortunately, the driver of the first car succumbed to his injuries in the Lower Saxony hospital. Oncoming traffic was heavily affected by the accidents in this area.
