People - Queens of the Stone Age cancel concert in Berlin

The US rock band Queens of the Stone Age will not perform in Berlin next week. "Josh Homme has to return to the United States urgently for a necessary operation", the band announced on Instagram on Tuesday (local time). Josh Homme (51) is the lead singer of the group. The reason for his hospitalization was not disclosed by the band.

A concert was scheduled for Wednesday in France, followed by performances in other European countries. The band was scheduled to perform at the Citadel of Spandau on the coming Tuesday - this is currently uncertain. "We apologize for any inconvenience and share your frustration and disappointment", it was stated on Instagram.

The band released their eighth album "In Times New Roman..." last year.

Despite the cancellation in Berlin, Queens of the Stone Age still has concerts planned in Europe, including France. The emergency operation requiring Josh Homme's immediate return to the USA might affect the band's performances beyond Germany. The announcement of the setback was shared on Instagram, a platform frequently used by the band to connect with their global fanbase, including the people of Europe and the USA.
