Tulsi Gabbard, a previous democratic presidential candidate and congresswoman who departed her party, is backing Republican candidate Donald Trump for the November elections. She swore to utilize all her influence to aid his re-entry into the White House, Gabbard stated.

Analyzing conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, the former National Guard soldier suggested that if elected, Trump would initially work to pull the U.S. "back from the edge of war." Conversely, she perceives the democratic candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris, as a danger to freedom and an misuse of power.

Gabbard's 2020 nomination battle was a struggle

Gabbard contended for the democratic presidential nomination in 2020, but her prospects for victory were slender, and ultimately, she endorsed Joe Biden, who emerged victorious for the Democrats. During her campaign, Gabbard advocated for a reduction of US military intervention in foreign policies.

Currently 43-years-old, the politician had to refute claims that her campaign was sponsored by Russia and solely targeted at weakening the Democrats. Trump maintained her innocence against these allegations, which prompted some Democrats to view her with suspicion.

Gabbard served in the House of Representatives in Washington from 2013 to 2021. Her perspectives frequently clashed with those of her party. In 2017, she traveled to Syria to meet with dictator Bashar al-Assad, an act that drew intense criticism. Post her resignation from the parliament, Gabbard dissociated herself from the Democrats and has since become a regular feature on conservative media outlets.
