Judgment - Pregnant woman murdered - Highest sentence for accused

In the trial regarding the disappearance of a pregnant woman from Nuremberg, the Landgericht has sentenced the former partner and an accomplice of the 39-year-old woman to life imprisonment for murder and other crimes. The guilt of the accused weighed heavily, stated the presiding judge. Therefore, an early release after 15 years is nearly impossible.

The court considered it proven that the 51-year-old from Bosnia-Herzegovina and the 49-year-old German did not only make the 39-year-old pregnant woman disappear in December 2022 but also killed her, as the presiding judge announced. The police have not been able to find the body despite numerous searches. The judgment is not yet final.
