After a suspected murder in Herrsching am Ammersee, Oberbayern, the police are continuing their intensive search for the fugitive suspect. Strong forces have been used to investigate possible escape routes and collect evidence, according to a police spokesperson. Both police dogs and divers were reportedly in use.

In a single-family house in the Muhlfeld district (Landkreis Starnberg), police found the body of a 74-year-old man following a call on Friday evening. "The investigations suggest a violent crime," a spokesperson stated early on Saturday morning.

Apparently, a man had entered the man's single-family house. The suspected perpetrator then reportedly left the property and fled on foot. The victim's wife managed to escape to a neighbor's house, where she alerted the police. Further details, such as a possible motive, a weapon, or the exact injuries to the man, were not disclosed by the police due to investigative reasons.

The man's body was taken to the medical examiner's office in Munich for autopsy, it was reported. No results were available at the time.
