Dangerous Frenzy - Police seek witnesses for alleged illegal racing

After an alleged illegal car race in Wiesbaden, the police stopped both drivers and secured the cars. The investigators are looking for more witnesses to the incident on Sunday evening. According to a police statement, the two men were initially holding each other at a red traffic light near the train station. Subsequently, they drove along a larger street without observing speed limits. Other traffic participants were overtaken on the bus lane among others. In addition to the two cars, the officers also secured the mobile phones and driver's licenses of the suspects. Anyone who observed the incident is asked to contact the police.

Following the car race incident, a wave of frenzy among spectators was reported in Wiesbaden. The criminality surrounding the event has led Hesse's authorities to intensify traffic regulations in the city. Despite the ongoing investigation, numerous instances of reckless racing have been spotted on city streets since then.
