Police report arrest after blood incident at Ammersee

A man apparently killed Rolls-Royce designer Ian Cameron in his single-family house by Ammersee. The suspect is on the run, police launch a large-scale search operation.

In the case of the murder at Herrsching am Ammersee, the elusive suspect was arrested in France. The access to the 22-year-old man from Serbia was reportedly gained on a Thursday, confirmed a spokesperson of the Oberbayern Nord Police Headquarters.

The man is suspected of having attacked and killed a 74-year-old man in the Mühlfeld district of the town. The victim's wife managed to save herself by seeking help from a neighbor who alerted the police, while the alleged perpetrator is said to have fled. The police found the deceased man's body in the house.

According to "Bild" newspaper reports, the victim is believed to be Rolls-Royce designer Ian Cameron. The circumstances of the incident are still unclear. The paper further reports that the suspect's backpack was found at a seaside promenade, and a possible murder weapon was discovered in a forest near Herrsching. However, nothing was stolen from the single-family house.

The police had previously been searching for the man nationwide with public wanted posters. At Ammersee, police helicopters and tracking dogs were in operation. According to current knowledge, the man had reportedly stayed in Herrsching for several hours before the incident, and he might have been captured on photos and videos, such as from surveillance cameras.

The suspect, linked to the International Rolls-Royce designer's murder in Bavaria, was reportedly apprehended in France. The alleged criminality involved a 74-year-old victim in Mühlfeld, with no signs of theft in the incident.
