Right-wing extremism - Police intervene at far-right party
Due to a party with prohibited right-wing extremist music and racist slogans in Großschirma (Mittelsachsen district), the police are investigating. According to witnesses, four women and six men aged 18 to 49 were found there on Saturday evening in the Hohentanne district, the Chemnitz Police Headquarters reported. Investigations are being conducted for the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations and incitement to hatred.
A similar procedure is ongoing in Rochlitz in the same district. Unknown individuals have sprayed right-wing extremist symbols and letter combinations - including a swastika - with black, white, and red paint on a railway bridge, it was reported. The time of the incident is suspected to be Saturday afternoon.
The State Protection Office is investigating two men in Dresden for suspected incitement to hatred. Witnesses called the police on Saturday because they saw the men giving the Hitler salute and shouting racist slogans on the street, the Police Headquarters in Dresden stated. The two men, aged 23 and 31, are being investigated, the police added. In Leipzig, the police were called on Friday evening because several men were shouting constitutionally-harmful slogans in public.
