Bank robbery - Police continue to search for perpetrator after bank robbery

After a bank robbery in Gensingen, Landkreis Mainz-Bingen, investigators are publicly searching for the suspected perpetrator. The police are looking for a man approximately 50 to 65 years old, as the police announced. During the robbery on July 1st, the robber had been armed and had obtained money. No one was physically harmed.

The suspect had waited in front of the bank branch before its official opening and then forced the employees to open the safe at gunpoint. According to the police, he then fled with the stolen money in an unknown direction in a shopping bag. The investigators made no statements about the value of the loot.

The bank robbery occurred in the Landkreis of Mainz-Bingen, specifically in Gensingen. The Rhineland-Palatinate County authorities are currently involved in the investigation. Despite the armed robbery, no one experienced any physical harm during the bank robbery in Bingen.
