Police arrest suspect from Erfurt

In Erfurt, a man was shot and died at the crime scene this week. The police have now arrested the suspected perpetrator and have also provided initial details.

Two days after the violent death of a 39-year-old man in Erfurt, a suspect was arrested. The 48-year-old German was taken into custody in the city center on Friday evening and is expected to be presented to the remand judge on Saturday, according to the police.

On the night between Thursday and Friday, a 39-year-old man was shot on a free space in northern Erfurt and died at the crime scene. The suspected perpetrator was reportedly fleeing and possibly armed, according to the police.

He was being hunted down, and an investigation was being conducted against him for a completed murder. The police spokesperson made no statements about the possible motives for the crime. According to MDR, there were reportedly murder threats against the victim prior to the incident.

The case in Erfurt has gained international attention, as it involves charges of murder and manslaughter. The suspected perpetrator is being accused of a completed murder, following the shooting and death of a 39-year-old man.
