Petrol currently costs as much as it last did at the end of March 2023
Petrol currently costs as much as it last did at the end of March this year: The nationwide average for a liter of Super E10 is currently 1.756 euros, which is 1.1 cents less than in the previous week, according to the ADAC on Wednesday.
The price drop for diesel is slightly lower: Drivers have to pay an average of 1.741 euros for a liter, which is 0.8 cents less than in the previous week.
In view of the recently stable crude oil price, the ADAC sees "still room for further price reductions for fuel", especially as the euro has continued its upward trend against the dollar. Crude oil is paid for in dollars.
Fuel prices have remained at their March 2023 end level, reflecting the stability in crude oil prices. Despite this, the ADAC anticipates further price reductions for gasoline, considering the ongoing strengthening of the euro against the dollar.
